Day 3 was spent in similar fashion to day 2, basically another ocean/beach day in paradise as we elect to take full advantage of the Kea Lani pool and grounds.

Tomorrow we move on to the Polo Beach Club which is right next door, a condo we found on the Internet.

The weather today had more clouds than we would have liked. Actually, the partly cloudy conditions probably prevented some nasty sunburn for our party. In the early afternoon we take a drive North toward Kaanapali for a some shopping and in search of another dinner by sunset.

We have made tentative plans for some excursions.

Friday is "Art Day" in Lahaina and we'll take the drive North again for  more shopping and sight-seeing. There are plenty of galleries, shops, and restaurants in this former whaling town.

Saturday we will do a snorkeling excursion to the island of Lanai aboard the Navatek II, a futuristic looking craft that takes you out to the island for swim n' snorkel and provides breakfast and a BBQ lunch aboard.

Sunday is Mother's Day and Carol hasn't decided for sure what she wants to do yet.

Monday we'll probably do a Luau.

Tuesday will be "Road to Hana" day, a 50 mile or so trip up toward the city of Hana that takes you through the Maui rain forest and past remote beaches and lots of waterfalls.

Wednesday will  be an early rising morning, (Kelli says we should pull an all-nighter) as we drive up toward Mt. Haleakala to witness the sun rising above this old volcano.

Still debating on how to work golf in to our schedule, too, as we run out of days to schedule things.

Before we head out for Kaanapali, Carol and I stopped by a local Orchid grower and pick out several plants to ship home. For those who don't know, Carol is an orchid fanatic and she was in heaven at the orchid farm. I had to drag her out of there! I took about 30 pictures of different orchids and they will have to comprise their own web page when I have a chance.

For now,  the images to the right are all I will upload. Trust me, I've taken many, many more. I think I'm averaging about 45 pictures per day with this digital camera. Its so nice being able to take all the pictures you want and see them right away and to delete the ones you don't like!

Aloha for now..

Kea Lani translates to "White Heaven" or "White Palace". We understand why.
