Another day in paradise. More exploring Polo Beach.

Carol loves to explore the tidepools. She hopes to find some nice shells to take home. You would think that the Pacific would be brimming with them but thats not the case. My guess is that other tourists have grabbed all the good ones. Or maybe they just aren't to be found on shore. Who knows. But anyway, its fun to look in the rocks and pools and see the fish, crabs and urchins that hang out there.

A close-up of one of the pools.

Further south toward Makena is another beach. Its either Makena Beach or Big Beach, I'm not sure.

For some reason, I'm fascinated with waves crashing. Above is a pic I caught of a curler.

We spend the rest of the day tucked in a beautiful little cove with an awesome view and do nothing but bake in the sun.

Kelli and Ilynn spend their beach days next door on the beach of the Kea Lani. Because they are young and hot, they have the attention of the cabana boys who bring them lounge chairs, towels, and water.

Polo Beach is just perfect. We're glad we had this beach umbrella that we brought with us. Theres one in the condo, too.

The northern tip of Maui looms in the background.

A rather unflattering shot of me spread eagle.

Kelli looks beautiful in the midday sun. I should have used the fill-in flash to get rid of the shadows. (I'm learning, Ron!)
