Parasailing

40 pesos (about $38 US) bought me an 8 minute parasail ride along the coast, affording me the opportunity to take some terrific birds eye view photographs. I was a little nervous about taking my digital camera up in the air with me but the pictures I got made it worth the risk.

This was my view from other end of the rope. Fantastic! I could see for miles out into Banderas Bay and up and down the coastline. Definitely worth the money if only for the view.

The harbor in the photo below is the Marina district. (Marina Vallarta) Another nice place to visit while vacationing in PV. Expensive yachts, nice restaurants
. There is a lighthouse bar/restaurant overlooking the harbor that is a nice place to catch a sunset and have a few drinks.

If you go to PV, you must consider parasailing--and don't be afraid to take your camera up with you! They'll even take you up as a couple. Its perfectly safe, too. We must have watched 15 or 20 people per day go up right from our beach.

The guys on the beach who run these parasailing boats do it for a living and they never had a misplaced landing. When they tell you to pull right, for gods sake pull right. Listen to their whistles and you'll be fine.

The shit eatin' grin you see above is testament to the exhilaration I was feeling.  Click here for an interesting comparison Carol picked up on while window shopping one night.

The rest of these parasailing pictures are obviously the view from different vantage points. I won't comment on each one. Take a minute to click and enlarge some of them. I think they really came out nice.
