The Beach

The beaches, especially the one right in front of our condo, were beautiful and made for some fantastic photographs. In particular, one well placed palm tree seems to have been purposely planted solely to add a dramatic touch to our sunset photos. Palapas dot the beach and provide their own simple charm. Jet skiing, parasailing, volleyball, sport fishing, are all within yards of our patio. If so inclined, one could literally walk a mile or so right down the coast into the downtown PV area. It truly is a prime location.

The Sierra Madre range in the background. This was our view from our beach for most of the week.

The sky was impossibly blue and clear on this particular day. I really like the perspective on the palm tree above. Imagine yourself laying down with your head at the base looking up. A breakfast Pina Colada in your hand. A pelican glides lazily by.  You take a deep breath and shut your eyes for a moment when ...bam! a coconut falls on your head. That didn't happen. I just wanted you to imagine it.

Above, a lonely palapa on a rocky shoal provides interesting contrast against another pastel blue sky. If you click to enlarge this image you can more clearly see that the tiny thing on the left hand side of the horizon is a parasailer.

To the right is the view from our patio. It was a little hazy on this day.
